The Return of Uber and Lyft

Recently, popular ride sharing services, Uber and Lyft, made their return to our area. After being made to leave the city behind in previous years, major cities in Texas saw a rise of occurrences such as drunk driving.

The event attracts thousands of visitors from Texas and surrounding states, providing access to some of the city’s most impressive residences and gardens. The public event will open on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Bayou Bend Gardens, 2940 Lazy Lane.

This exhibit will be on display from March 2-30, 2018 at the Jung Center, 5200 Montrose Blvd. The public is invited to a gallery reception on Saturday, March 3, from 5-7 p.m.

Houstonians can join Free the Captives in the fight to end human trafficking by attending the Restora­tion Runway Fashion Show on Friday, March 2, from 7-10 p.m. at Access/Vox Live, 1888 Stebbins Dr. This yearly fashion show aims to raise awareness and funds for human trafficking victims in Houston.

Showtimes are Friday at 8 p.m.; Saturday at 2 and 8 p.m.; and Sunday at 2 and 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at $35 and are available by phone at 713-315-2525; online at TheHobbyCenter.org or The Hobby Center Box Office (800 Bagby) and all Ticketmaster outlets.
