    A correctional officer has launched a federal lawsuit against the Texas prison system, claiming the department retaliated after she alleged sexual harassment at the hands of a high-ranking Allred Unit official. The allegations stem from a single incident in 2016, when Major Johnathan Eastep allegedly pinned a sergeant against a fence at the north Texas prison and pressed himself against her, breathing down her neck.

    HOUSTON --- An argument between several people ends with a shooting on Saturday night. Around 11:30 p.m., the Houston Police Department responded to a shooting on Clarewood Dr. and Dunlap St. When they arrived, they found one man with a gunshot wound to his foot.

    HOUSTON - The National Weather Service issued a Heat Advisory for the Houston area until 7 p.m. after the heat index reached above 108 degrees. If extreme heat continues through the weekend, city officials advise residents to take precaution. Prolonged exposure to extreme heat without proper hydration and other precautionary actions may result in heat exhaustion or heat stroke.
