Squish, the crooked-faced puppy with a locking jaw, was set to be euthanized at the shelter to prevent further suffering. Then, a second opinion determined Squish was the victim of intentional blunt force trauma. Veterinarians felt Squish would need extensive jaw surgeries and ongoing treatment to survive. One of those surgeries was performed by our Dr. Fred Willaims Jr. of BluePearl - San Antonio. Squish’s life, once scheduled to end due to his disability, is full now.
We already knew that dogs can be heroes. It's nice to know they watch out for heroes, too. Thanks to all the veterans and to these dogs that serve them.
