Midtown Midweek 5:30 PM: Dinner served Adults: Italian bruschetta chicken w/ pasta, salad, garlic bread; Kids: Spaghetti and meatballs 6:20 PM: Prayer & Bible Study This week in Midtown Midweek Bible study we listen to the prophet Haggai. His ministry took place in a single year, 520 BC — one of the most difficult in the history of Israel. The Israelites had returned home after the Exile, but home was a mess. There is a word from Haggai for all of us who know what it is like when “the way that it is... is not the way we would have it to be."

Midtown Midweek Tonight 5:30 PM: Dinner served Adults: Chicken verde enchiladas, rice, and beans Kids: Chicken or cheese quesadillas, fresh fruit 6:20 PM: Prayer & Bible Study This week in Midtown Midweek Bible study we turn to the prophet Zephaniah. Zephaniah ministered during a time when God’s people were being called back to faithfulness. People loved wondering whether God made any difference in their daily lives. And, as a people in pain, they did what people in pain always do: they turned to anyone who promised to make the pain go away. What that meant then, as it often does now, was turning from the true and living God and to false gods. Zephaniah promised that God, who has been calling His people back, would preserve for Himself a remnant of faithful folk to worship, work, and witness. Join us as we try to learn from the mistakes of others so that our lives will be faithful.
