  • School at St. George Place reviewed by a parent

In all honesty and after having experienced other schools, St George is an OK school if we are talking academics. It's not strong but not the weakest. I wish we had a more rigorous curriculum to support all students at all academic levels and not just focus on the weak kids leaving the strong ones to fall behind! All you need is to look at their test scores and their school rating to know what I mean. I see a principal who supports and loves his teachers to the extent that he won't accept any criticism or any kind of feedback and just fights back. It's a great thing to his staff but also can be harmful to our kids who can be in a class with a very weak teacher but can do nothing to change this fact. The staff are nice when they know you in person, otherwise they are just professional. This is why some comments call them rude. All in all, the school needs to implement a stronger academic approach to get all their kids on the same level. They used to be an 8/10 and now dropped to a 6/10 in a matter of 3 years, not sure what this means but in my books its not good. I hope someone from management reads this and takes an honest parent's feedback into consideration. Otherwise, if you want a fun and laid back school where your kid learns little to nothing then this school is definitely for you.
