Regarding the alternate routes to the 290 to 610 East ramp mapped on air tonight, I can confirm that the route going all the way to Woodway is not entirely necessary as the 610 feeder over Hempstead Road, after exiting Dacoma and Mangum, is open. Folks can u-turn at Old Katy Rd and ride the feeder around. Also, no need to take the 290 to I-10 ramp all the way to 45 north by downtown - exiting Washington Ave and u-turning, or N. Shepherd and head north are also options. Darby can confirm this in the morning if needed. Another option I saw that Darby can confirm in the morning as well is exiting 290 @ 34th/Antoine and either heading east on 34th or south on Antoine and then east on Hempstead Rd.
The impact of Hurricane Harvey will be felt at this year’s Marching Band Festival, which is from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday, Oct. 9 at Delmar Stadium (2020 Mangum). Admission is free.
