Perfect weather for tonight's free outdoor screening in the garden at Houston Center for Contemporary Craft! Among great experimental films by Marie Menken, Stan Brakhage, Ben Russell, Joel Schlemowitz, and others, we're very happy to feature a 16mm print of the fantastic "Another Void" by San Francisco filmmaker Paul Clipson, who sadly passed away this February.

Join us this Sunday afternoon (3:30pm) for a screening and reception with New York-based artists Jennifer and Kevin McCoy. Their latest film, Broker, is an experimental, musical rumination on the world of high-end real estate, shot in a 77th floor apartment in one of New York City’s Trump Towers. Their piece Mussafah (shown in the space before and after the screening) captures a very different environment, slowly tracking through an industrial area of Abu Dhabi.

Jennifer and Kevin McCoy - Art in America
Advertisement For their recent show at Postmasters, Jennifer and Kevin McCoy presented eight miniature landscapes, each displayed on a small wall-hung shelf and made of materials such as tar, sand, dirt and plastic toys (all works 2012). The dioramas depict anonymous non-places, identified by titles such as Along the Roadside, Behind the Hillside, Next to the Parking Lot.
