About active incidents
Every 5 minutes, the City of Houston publishes incidents being handled by fire, police and EMS personnel. In this section of EveryBlock, you can find incidents around you and in your neighborhood.
Each report includes the agency that is responding, the address of the incident, the date and time of dispatch, and a short description of what the incident is, such as "EMS Event," "Minor Accident," etc.

The data comes from the City of Houston Active Incidents page. The city posts new incidents every 5 minutes, and we at EveryBlock retrieve data every 10 minutes.
